By Linda S. Mintle, Ph.D.
Psychotherapist
Here are ten things you can do to cause maximum stress in your life.

SilasPartners.com -

Drink alcohol, eat fast food, run up the credit cards – these are just a few of the things people do that add stress to their lives. To find out how you cause maximum stress in your life – or better yet, how you can avoid it – take a look at Dr. Linda’s Best Stressed List (not to be confused with Hollywood’s Best Dressed List).

DR. LINDA’S BEST-STRESSED LIST

(Not to be confused with Hollywood’s Best Dressed List)

Drink as much alcohol as you can to numb your pain and avoid life.

Use drugs, particularly illegal ones, to escape from life’s problems.

Run down your body in every way possible. Eat lots of fast food. Stay up late at night. Sit around and vegetate.

Get yourself into huge financial trouble. Use your credit cards and spend wildly and impulsively. If you like it, buy it!

Whenever there is bad news, assume you will be the next victim. Think about it. Worry about it and fill your mind with the tragedies of the nightly news.

Become a regular complainer and criticize everything in sight. Make sure you don’t let anyone’s mistakes pass. Yell, scream and show no mercy.

Be a victim of everything and everyone. Make sure you pass around blame as much as you can. Believe you are never at fault for anything.

Never make a decision. Since you might make a mistake, don’t decide anything. Waver. Agonize.

Read your fears into everyone’s behavior. They probably don’t like you. They are trying to compete with you, and they want you out of the picture. Live in paranoia.

Stay away from happy people. They could rub off on you and cause you to cheer up. You have too much to feel bad about and don’t need anyone disrupting your unhappy flow.

AND THE WINNER IS . . . STRESS, STRESS, STRESS*

*Stress is brought to you by attitudes and life’s circumstances. When things go wrong and people let you down, stress is there. This is a free offer and is subject to the availability of stress.
